AZLO Music Productions

AZLO Music Productions is a New York based project of musical and cultural exchange between Latin-American countries and the US. Azlo was created with the main purpose of promoting Latin American Music and Musicians abroad, and to contribute to the unification of the Americas trough Art. Since its foundation in the year 2000, Azlo has been sponsoring and producing independent artists around the world and presenting them in some of the most renowned concert halls including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in NYC; The Strathmore and Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle in Washington DC; The Hobby Center in Houston, Texas as well as Cite Universitaire in Paris, Palacio Foz and Museum Nogueira da Silva in Portugal; Salle Gandhi in Geneva, among other prestigious halls in France, Germany, Brazil, and Colombia.

Our next Project “Amazonas” is a series of concerts around the world featuring The Azlo Orchestra, guests and soloists, performing Composers from all times that have inspired their work in the ancestral power of the Amazon forest. The increased level of environmental damage that we have been causing to our planet and to the communities that have been living in the Amazon rainforest for thousands of years demands a strong response from the generations we live in, and in particular from the artistic community. The main purpose of this series of concerts is to raise awareness among different audiences globally using our language, Music, a language that knows no translations and through its power call the attention on the commonality of this tragedy. We, at AZLO Music Productions, believe that through Art we can bring our contribution to protect and preserve this precious rainforest that We and our descendants will continue breathing, and invite the world to take a better look at this incredible part of the planet that little by little is disappearing.

Our fist concert will be November 11 2011, “Amazonas 11.11.11” at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, in NYC, followed by a Concert at the United Palace in NY featuring “The Mariuccia Iacovino Symphonic Orchestra” from Brazil, an 86 piece youth orchestra inspired in “El sistema”, featuring soloists Angelica de la Riva and Nilko Andreas on an all Brazilian Program.

If you feel that you share our vision of a better world, please contact us to learn more or to get involved www.nilkoandreas.com/Azlo,   contact: Azlo@nilkoandreas.com
